Government Affairs
VAA is involved with issues that impact our industry. We maintain a registered lobbyist at the Virginia General Assembly, and work with many state agencies, including the Departments of State Police, Environmental Quality, Consumer Affairs and Taxation. During the 2008 session, we were involved with several bills, and were instrumental in stopping SB 526 which would have changed the Safety Inspection procedure to every other year.
